Moonstone Pendant in Gunmetal Wire
This natural moonstone has a soft white glow with a silvery sheen that moves across its surface in the light. Its natural lines and layers give the stone a rougher, more earthy character than a perfectly polished cabochon.
I wrapped it by hand in gunmetal wire, keeping the frame open around the moonstone and adding a large woven bail with flowing scrollwork above it. The dark wire creates a strong contrast against the pale stone and gives the finished pendant an old world feel.
Moonstone is traditionally associated with intuition, new beginnings, and finding your way through periods of change. This one feels like a fitting piece for anyone beginning a new chapter.
