Graves Mountain Lazulite Pendant, Hand Mined and Copper Wrapped
Graves Mountain Lazulite Pendant, Hand Mined and Copper Wrapped
Most stones only pass through my hands at the workbench. This one started with me at Graves Mountain.
I mined this lazulite myself at Graves Mountain in Lincoln County, Georgia, then brought it home and cut and polished it into a cabochon. The bright blue lazulite stands out against its natural gray matrix, with small flashes and patterns that could never be duplicated.
I wrapped the finished cabochon in copper with long flowing lines, a woven bail, and a spiral above the stone. From the mountain to the lapidary wheel to the final wirework, this piece was made by my own hands.
